Upon arrival at the Katunayaka airport, you will be greeted and met by one of our friendly chauffeur guides. You will then be transferred to the hotel to refresh and relax.
Proceed to Galle .Visit the Galle fort and popular tourist attractions. Optional lunch at Galle or similar. “The earliest recorded history of the city dates back to the year 545 AD, to the chronicles of the Roman historian, Cosmas. From then on records are very sparse – until the landing of the famous Arab navigator Ibn Batuta. Over the next 100 years, the city was the chief port of the island, for it attracted spice traders.The Portuguese came to Galle in 1505, followed by the Dutch in 1640. When Colombo fell to the British in 1796, the fort was handed over & used as an administrative center, a function which it performs to this day”.
After breakfast leave for Yala. Optional Lunch at Tissamaharama. After lunch visit Yala national park in Jeeps. Yala National Park: The most popular national park in Sri Lanka. Established in 1938 with a land area of approx 121000 ha. This park is situated in the Hambantota and Monaragala district. It is home for almost all the animals and birds that are found in Sri Lanka.
Proceed to Ella, Visit the 9 Arch bridge, Little Adams peak leisurely and plenty of hikes if you would like to explore.
Go on a train ride from Ella to Nanuoya. The most scenic train ride in Sri Lanka which you should not miss. Passing through tunnels, valleys, waterfalls and many more beautiful sceneries on route.
Visit a working tea factory, walk through the tea plantation, and visit the city of Nuwara Eliya.
Proceed to Kandy Visit the Kandy temple, Kandy city.
Proceed to Trincomalee, relax on beach.
Go on a boat ride, have a sea food lunch and proceed to Hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Jaffna / relax.
Visit the Nallur Kovil , Jaffna market and city / relax.
After breakfast proceed to Anuradapura. “Anuradhapura lay deserted for hundreds of years, the ruins buried deep in the jungles of the dry zone of Sri Lanka. The visitor might imagine that an explorer had stumbled on the lost city and brought it to light. But Anuradhapura, city of 113 kings was never forgotten to the people of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is the birthplace of Sinhalese civilization & one of the world’s largest archaeological sites. It is considered as the greatest monastic city of the ancient world, & was founded in the 5th century BC.
Go on a safari at Wilpattu national park in the morning; thereafter proceed to Habarana to relax.
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Optional lunch at Polonnaruwa. “Polonnaruwa was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century AD. This ancient city is today one of the most beautiful centres of this island’s cultural heritage. In its prime, the city, inside it’s 3½ miles strong encircling walls, housed hundreds of thousands of people. The remains of this ancient city comprised of many buildings and irrigation works. The buildings, mainly brick structures, included the inner city area (with two palace complexes of two different kings), inner & outer city walls, a number of monastic complexes with stupas, image houses & dwelling cells of monks. Also contained were refectories, assembly halls (chapter house, bathing pond etc.
There after go on a safari at Minneriya national park in the afternoon.
Soon after breakfast leave to Negombo.
Leave for the airport for departure with a warm good bye.
